Selling Strategically
We approach advertising sales strategically with the short term goal of maximizing immediate revenue opportunities and the long term objective of identifying and developing growth accounts that keep the prospect pipeline full.
Our sales strategy includes:
- Leverage our existing long-standing relationships with key individuals on accounts where appropriate to get initial meetings arranged for our publishing clients to present capabilities/opportunities
- Begin implementing issue-by-issue/month-to-month “Opportunistic Buy” sales tactics
Develop and implement a “first year” ramp-up program:
- Identify top 50+ advertisers within territory
- Identify key decision makers on each account at both client and/or agency
Create an ongoing communications program designed to:
- Provide “air support” to our in-person and telemarketing sales efforts by connecting with key decision makers twice monthly via some combination of e-mail, direct mail and/or special package
- Focus of these communications is to inform key decision makers about the strengths and relevance of the media property and connect them to their advertising strategies
- Showcase integrated advertising programs
